creative-arts.net has been active internationally in the design and delivery
of arts-based education programmes for over 15 years. In addition to a long
standing commitment to Japan we have established significant training
courses and implementation workshops in Spain, South Africa, Scandinavia,
the UK, and the US.

Using the arts as a means of stimulating effective cross-curricular
involvement in schools, and sustainable community-based interventions, we
bring an innovative and unique approach to education which synergises well
with the aims and objectives of GEC Group.
In Japan we have designed and implemented many training programmes for
teachers, and together with Ueno Gakuen are working towards the
establishment of a more formalised course of instruction. Over a period
of more than 12 years, in partnership with the Association of Japanese
Symphony Orchestras, we have helped to establish strategic education and
outreach programmes with almost all its membership; some 24 orchestras. We
have also long term relationships with many performing venues, and in 2008
were invited to give the first large scale music workshop in Japan at the
Kioi Hall (Tokyo) with the support, and in the presence of, Her Royal
Highness, the Empress Michiko.
We have written extensively on the importance of the integration of arts
processes within education systems and in 2008 were key note speakers at a
special gathering organised by the Geidankyo which reviewed current
educational practice in Japan.
We look forward to a long and productive relationship with GEC Group, and
the development of new and effective education programmes appropriate for a
new global context.
